As an affiliated organization of Korea Aerospace University, designated as a flight education institution by the Ministry of Construction and Transportation, the Flight Training Center is purpose built to prepare aspiring pilots for their future careers.

It is our purpose to produce world class pilots. The Center was primarily designed to work in conjunction with the Flight Operations Department at Korea Aerospace University to help students become either civil or military pilots. However, the Center was also given the go-ahead to take over the Airline Pilot Program for Korean Air, thus expanding the Center's mandate and responsibilities. Furthermore, the Center is also accessible to graduates of any general four-year university who wish to pursue flight education.

Most recently, the Flight Training Center has opened its doors to members of the general public, and as such, we feel that we have established a bridgehead for the popularization and the development of the general aviation industry in Korea.
